About the program

Behavior, crime and psychoanalytic reading.

Academia Enlevo's Online Forensic and Criminal Psychology Course was developed for those who wish to understand, seriously and responsibly, the relationship between human behavior, crime, psychological suffering, victimology, the justice system and the psychoanalytic reading of conduct.

This program starts from a central question: what can be understood when we observe criminal behavior not only through the act committed, but also through psychic history, unconscious conflicts, defense mechanisms, social marks, the position of the victim and the ethical demands of the forensic field?

Throughout the course, students study Forensic Psychoanalysis, Psychology, Criminology, Victimology, Criminal Profiling, Testimony, Memory, Mental Health and Ethics, always within an educational framework. The aim is to broaden the repertoire for reading the subject involved in criminal contexts, without reducing crime to simplistic explanations and without promising qualifications that depend on specific training, registration, public examination, appointment, law or professional council.

This is a course for those who understand that the interface between mental health, crime and justice demands more than curiosity. It demands study, ethics, technical language, prudence and respect for the limits of professional practice.

The concept

What is Forensic and Criminal Psychology?

Forensic and Criminal Psychology is a field of study that investigates the relationship between human behavior, crime, justice, responsibility, victim, offender, testimony, memory, assessment, social context and mental health.

Many people associate criminal psychology only with the investigation of serious crimes or with building profiles. That view is limited. The field involves the analysis of behaviors, motivations, relational patterns, risk factors, contexts of violence, psychological impact on victims, the dynamics between offender and victim, the effects of incarceration, the reliability of testimony and ethical challenges in legal and institutional settings.

Within Academia Enlevo's approach, the course uses the expression Forensic and Criminal Psychology as a thematic field of study, integrating forensic psychoanalysis, criminology and mental health. The program does not intend to turn the student into a psychologist, criminal forensic expert, investigator or public security professional: it offers a theoretical and technical repertoire for understanding the interface between subjectivity, crime and the justice system.

The psychoanalytic approach adds an important layer. Psychoanalysis observes unconscious contents, internal conflicts, defense mechanisms, repetitions, impulses, fantasies, traumas and modes of psychic functioning that may influence conduct. In the forensic field, this reading must be done carefully, because crime cannot be explained by a psychic cause alone, nor reduced to a diagnostic label.

That is why the course works with a multidisciplinary view: criminal behavior is studied as a complex phenomenon, shaped by psychic, social, family, cultural, legal, historical and institutional factors.

Why study it

The relationship between mind, crime and justice.

Criminality cannot be understood merely as the violation of a norm. In many cases, it reveals conflicts, contexts of vulnerability, power structures, trajectories of exclusion, forms of violence, psychological suffering, failures of symbolization, traumatic repetitions and complex relationships between subject and society.

Studying forensic and criminal psychology does not mean justifying crimes. It means seeking technical understanding and recognizing that, to act responsibly, one must avoid both simplistic moralism and the romanticization of the offender. Ethics lies in sustaining a reading that takes into account the act, the victim, the subject, the law, the harm, responsibility and context.

Forensic Psychoanalysis offers a path for reading the unconscious aspects that may appear in extreme behaviors, in criminal narratives, in abusive relationships, in impulsive acts and in conflicts with the law.

By studying this field, students broaden their ability to formulate better questions: what is at stake in a given behavior? How does psychic history connect with conduct? What place does the victim occupy? How can memory be affected by trauma, fear or suggestion? What are the ethical limits of any analysis of crime and subjectivity?

Who it is for

Four ways in.

Each person comes to Forensic and Criminal Psychology through a different door. Some are looking for a professional fresh start. Others feel a long-standing calling for listening and for investigating the human mind. There are professionals who want to expand their analytical tools — and seekers of excellence looking for a serious, well-organized program with clear limits.

Career transition
For those who wish to begin a new stage and move closer to the fields of mental health, psychoanalysis, criminology and the human sciences with a structured study path.

A calling for listening
For those who have always wanted to understand what drives human beings and wish to turn interest into technical study, far from sensationalism about crime.

Health and human sciences professionals
Psychologists, psychoanalysts, therapists, physicians, educators, social workers, HR and legal professionals who want to broaden their repertoire.

Seekers of excellence
For those seeking depth, coherence and an institution that treats the subject with sobriety — without using crime as entertainment.

Each profile

The program for each path.

For those in career transition

Suited to those who wish to begin a new professional stage and move closer to the fields of mental health, psychoanalysis, criminology and the human sciences. Many people reach this transition after years in administrative, legal, educational or technical areas, realizing a genuine interest in listening, behavior, conflict, violence, justice and meaning.

Because it is online, the course lets you study at your own pace, with a defined workload and a structured curriculum. Academia Enlevo does not promise employment, a position, an appointment or court accreditation: it offers a serious study path for those who wish to build a repertoire and move forward responsibly.

For those with a calling for listening

In the forensic and criminal field, a calling for listening demands even more care. Listening is not letting someone off the hook, nor condemning before understanding. Technical listening seeks to sustain an ethical position in the face of difficult topics, without losing sight of the victim, the harm and the law.

The course helps turn interest into study. Instead of consuming sensationalist content about crime, the student engages with concepts such as criminology, victimology, profiling, memory, testimony, mental health, psychopathy, social labeling and ethics in forensic psychoanalysis. A calling needs method — and this program offers a foundation for thinking with more depth and less improvisation.

For health and human sciences professionals

Psychologists, psychoanalysts, therapists, physicians, educators, social workers, HR, legal professionals and humanities students can find here a broadening of their repertoire. Topics such as domestic violence, abuse, risk, trauma, family conflict, aggressiveness, manipulation, guilt, denial, fear and suffering appear in consulting rooms, schools, companies, institutions and community services.

The program does not replace an undergraduate degree, a regulated specialization, clinical supervision or the requirements of professional councils. It works as complementary training, focused on studying the interface between mental health, psychoanalysis, crime and justice — helping refine listening and strengthen ethical care in the face of delicate topics.

For seekers of excellence

Seekers of excellence understand that criminal psychology, profiling, victimology and forensic psychoanalysis cannot be treated as entertainment. These are topics involving real suffering, real victims, real harm and serious legal implications.

Academia Enlevo presents the program with objective facts: an online course, 360 class hours, a certificate recognized by the RNTP, intensive training in 16 weeks, a completion period of up to 1 year and a curriculum of 16 modules. Excellence, in this field, begins with sobriety — the course does not promise to turn the student into a forensic expert, investigator or psychologist: it offers structured study for understanding the human mind in criminal contexts with greater maturity and rigor.

Objectives

What you will be able to develop.

The central objective is to enable students to understand the interface between psychoanalysis, psychology, criminology and justice, developing a broader reading of criminal behavior and of the subjective phenomena involved in forensic contexts.

By the end of the program, students are expected to have developed a repertoire to:

  • Understand the foundations of forensic psychoanalysis and its relationship with criminology.
  • Study criminal behavior through a psychic, social and ethical reading.
  • Recognize the importance of victimology in understanding the harms, impacts and narratives of those who suffer violence.
  • Understand criminal attributes, typologies and motivations without reducing the subject to labels.
  • Analyze, at an educational level, topics such as psychopathy, sexual crimes, seriality, memory, testimony and criminal profiling.
  • Reflect on the limits of professional practice in forensic and legal contexts.
  • Develop an ethical stance toward criminal cases, avoiding spectacularization and stigmatization.
  • Broaden technical vocabulary to engage with topics in mental health, law, public security, justice and the human sciences.

Virtual environment

How the platform works.

The course takes place on a practical, intuitive online platform. Students access recorded video lessons, PDF materials, books, assignments, assessments, podcasts, a discussion forum and performance tracking.

The program was organized to allow autonomy without losing structure. Students can progress through the modules according to their routine, review content and build their learning path within the period set by the platform.

Access to the course is released once the enrollment is confirmed by the banking institution. Bank slips (boletos) and other payment methods may depend on the clearing times of each financial institution.

Workload, certificate and limits

360 hours, certificate and transparency.

The Forensic and Criminal Psychology Course has 360 class hours. The intensive program was structured for completion in 16 weeks, approximately 4 months, with the possibility of completing it within up to 1 year, according to the platform's academic rules.

Upon completing the modules, fulfilling the required activities and meeting the pass criteria, the student receives a certificate of completion issued by Academia Enlevo, presented as recognized by the RNTP.

This is a non-degree professional certification course (curso livre). It is not a degree in Psychology, not a higher-education program, not a lato sensu postgraduate program accredited by the MEC (Brazil's Ministry of Education), and it does not replace university education or the professional registration required by law.

The course does not, by itself, qualify the student to practice as a psychologist, issue psychological reports, administer psychological tests, act as an official criminal forensic expert, hold public office, conduct police investigations or produce documents reserved for a regulated profession.

Practice in any professional context depends on the student's prior training, current legislation, registrations where required, public examinations where applicable and the rules of each institution. Students must use the knowledge respecting the law, ethics, victims and the limits of their training.
