About the training

Understanding the family as a living system of relationships.

The Training in Systemic Family Therapy with a Psychoanalytic Approach from Academia Enlevo was developed for those who wish to study, with depth and responsibility, family relationships, the patterns that run through generations and the unconscious dynamics that influence bonds, conflicts, alliances, repetitions and ways of living together.

This is an online professional training course, with 480 class hours, focused on the study of family dynamics from an integrated perspective: on one side, the systemic view, which observes the family as a set of interdependent relationships; on the other, the psychoanalytic approach, which takes into account the subjective history, affects, projections, desires, defenses and unconscious contents that run through family life.

Throughout the training, the student is invited to develop a broader listening to the family. It is not just a matter of looking at an isolated individual, but of understanding how each person occupies places, responds to expectations, repeats patterns, reacts to earlier bonds and takes part in a network of relationships that may foster suffering, conflict, estrangement, reconciliation, belonging or transformation.

Academia Enlevo's proposal is to offer a structured, accessible and applicable educational path, without unrealistic promises and without simplistic reductions. The course presents foundations, concepts, practices, case studies, phenomenological reading, notions of systemic family constellation and elements of psychoanalysis that help the student understand the complexity of contemporary families.

The concept

What is Systemic Family Therapy with a Psychoanalytic Approach?

Systemic family therapy starts from the understanding that the family is not merely the sum of individuals. It is a living system of relationships, memories, affects, positions, expectations and patterns. When a person suffers, that suffering often also shows up in their bonds: as repeated conflicts, silences, estrangements, rigid alliances, emotional dependencies, unconscious loyalties, communication difficulties or repetitions of stories lived by previous generations.

The systemic approach observes how each member takes part in the functioning of the family group. Instead of looking for culprits, it seeks to understand relationships. The focus is on questions such as: what place does each person occupy in this system? What patterns repeat? What conflicts remain unworked-through? What family stories continue to produce effects? What bonds need to be acknowledged, reorganized or given new meaning?

The psychoanalytic approach adds another layer of reading. It considers that the family is also run through by the unconscious, by identifications, desires, defenses, symptoms, projections and the affective marks that each subject carries. Often, what appears as a family conflict also expresses unspoken pain, unsymbolized losses, internalized expectations and unconscious ways of preserving bonds.

By integrating the systemic view with psychoanalysis, the course offers the student a deeper reading of family life. The goal is not to reduce the family to ready-made techniques, but to develop a clinical, ethical and sensitive understanding of the forces that organize human relationships.

Audience

Who is this course for?

This course is recommended for people who wish to study family relationships seriously, especially those interested in mental health, psychoanalysis, family therapy, systemic family constellation, education, counseling, human development, conflict mediation and care in community settings.

01
Mental health professionals and students who wish to broaden their understanding of families, bonds and systemic dynamics.

02
Psychoanalysts, therapists and integrative practice professionals seeking complementary training in systemic family therapy with a psychoanalytic reading.

03
Educators, counselors, community leaders and professionals who deal with families in school, institutional or social settings.

04
People interested in self-knowledge, family relationships, intergenerational patterns and understanding their own histories of attachment.

05
Students who wish to study systemic family constellation within a broader framework, connected to systemic thinking, phenomenology and psychoanalysis.

As this is a non-degree professional training course (curso livre), you do not need to be a psychologist to take it. However, professional practice must always respect the legislation in force, the ethical limits of the practice, the student's prior training and the rules of each institution, council, association or work context.

Training objectives

What the training sets out to do.

The course aims to equip the student with theoretical and practical tools to understand and intervene, responsibly, in complex family dynamics. The family is studied as a relational system, in which individual and collective histories influence behaviors, choices, conflicts and ways of living together.

During the training, the student studies how alliances, repetitions, conflicts, projections, intergenerational patterns and subjective places can shape the family experience. The psychoanalytic approach broadens this reading by considering the unconscious processes that run through affective life, symptoms, identifications and the forms of suffering that appear in the relational field.

By the end of the course, the student is expected to have developed a repertoire to analyze family dynamics in greater depth, recognize relational patterns, understand the influence of earlier histories, study cases, reflect on interventions and apply systemic and psychoanalytic knowledge in their field of practice, always with ethical responsibility and respect for the limits of their training.

What you develop

Competencies throughout the course.

Understanding family dynamics
The student learns to observe the family as a system of relationships — identifying communication patterns, repeated conflicts, positions held by members, alliances, estrangements, forms of belonging and movements of exclusion or reconciliation.

Reading unconscious patterns
The psychoanalytic approach makes it possible to study how unconscious contents appear in family relationships. Projections, defenses, identifications, desires, resentments and unworked-through histories can influence the way each person bonds with others.

Systemic thinking
An alternative to the linear, simplified view. Instead of looking for a single cause of suffering, the student learns to consider relationships, contexts, circularity, interdependence and reciprocal effects within the family system.

Notions of assessment and intervention
Resources to understand family situations, organize working hypotheses, identify relevant issues and think through interventions more carefully. The aim is to build a discerning eye, not a mechanical application of techniques.

Conflict mediation and management
Elements that contribute to the mediation of family conflicts, always taking into account listening, respect, ethics, communication and the need to recognize the different places present in a situation.

Self-knowledge and personal growth
By studying family relationships, the student is led to reflect on their own history, their bonds, their projections, their response patterns and the way they position themselves in the face of conflicts and affects.

Integration of theory and practice
The curriculum includes case studies, a final assessment and a written essay, making it possible to organize knowledge in an applied way — bringing together concepts, examples, reflection and analysis for more consistent learning.

Why Enlevo

Depth and applicability.

Academia Enlevo builds its training programs with a focus on mental health, psychoanalysis and human development. In this training, the institution brings together content on systemic family therapy, systemic family constellation, phenomenology and psychoanalysis to offer an organized and progressive study journey.

What sets the course apart is its effort to combine depth and applicability. The student does not study only abstract concepts: they are guided to understand how family relationships form, come under strain, repeat and can be given new meaning. At the same time, the course avoids a simplistic promise of immediate solutions, because families are complex and require ethical reading, maturity, listening and responsibility.

The online format allows the student to organize their studies according to their routine. The content is available in a virtual environment, with support materials, activities, video lessons and performance tracking on the platform. This structure suits both those who want an intensive training and those who need to study over a longer period, within the expected completion period.

Virtual environment

How the platform works.

The course takes place on a practical and intuitive online platform. There, the student accesses content organized by modules, with recorded video lessons, assignments, assessments, PDF materials, books and complementary resources. The platform also makes it possible to track performance and follow the learning path set out by the training.

This format was designed to make study more accessible and organized. The student can progress through the content within the platform's schedule, review lessons, return to readings and prepare their activities with greater autonomy.

As this is an online course, internet access is required to study. The experience was designed so that the student can complete their training without having to travel, maintaining a study routine compatible with their availability.

Duration and certificate

480 class hours with a certificate.

The Training in Systemic Family Therapy with a Psychoanalytic Approach has 480 class hours. The intensive track is designed for completion in 4 months, with the possibility of completion within up to 1 year, according to the platform's academic rules and the student's pace of study.

Upon completing the modules, fulfilling the required activities and meeting the pass criteria, the student receives a certificate of completion issued by Academia Enlevo. The certificate is presented with RNTP registration.

This course is a non-degree professional training (curso livre). It is not a higher-education degree, does not replace training in Psychology, Medicine, Social Work or any regulated profession, and does not exempt the student from observing the legal, ethical and institutional requirements of their field of practice.

Applied learning

Therapeutic Immersion.

Academia Enlevo presents Therapeutic Immersion as an educational resource aimed at broadening the learning experience. The idea is to bring the student closer to clinical and relational scenarios, encouraging reflection on decisions, approaches and possible effects in care situations.

This type of resource does not replace supervised practice, real clinical experience or the legal requirements of professional practice, but it can enrich study by allowing the student to think in a more applied way. Instead of merely memorizing concepts, the student is encouraged to observe contexts, consider alternatives, reflect on consequences and strengthen their analytical capacity.

Professional practice

What this course allows — and what it does not promise.

This course was developed to build a repertoire in systemic family therapy with a psychoanalytic approach. It can contribute to the work of family therapists, psychoanalysts, therapists, integrative practice professionals, educators and people who work with families in different contexts.

The training can broaden opportunities for practice in private practices, clinics, institutions, community projects, educational settings and family guidance contexts. However, Academia Enlevo does not promise employment, automatic accreditation with institutions, ties to public bodies or authorization to perform activities reserved to regulated professions.

Professional practice depends on the student's prior training, local regulations, the requirements of each institution, applicable legislation and the ethical limits of each practice. Where activities are reserved to psychologists, physicians, social workers or other regulated professionals, the student must respect the corresponding legal and professional requirements.

SUS and PICS

Does this course qualify you to work in the SUS or in PICS?

Family constellation appears in connection with the Práticas Integrativas e Complementares em Saúde (Brazil's Integrative and Complementary Health Practices), known as PICS. However, taking a training course does not guarantee a position, hiring, accreditation, a direct link with the SUS (Brazil's public Unified Health System) or automatic participation in public programs.

Working in public policy depends on the health system's own criteria, selection processes, municipal, state or federal rules, institutional requirements and any professional prerequisites. The course can provide training and guidance about the field, but it does not replace the formal procedures required to work in any public service.

If the student's goal is to seek opportunities in PICS, the SUS, health institutions or public projects, the correct path is to consult the public calls, local regulations, municipal requirements, hiring criteria and policies in force where they intend to work.

Listening and depth

Training to understand families with greater depth.

Families are not simple. Each family carries narratives, silences, affects, conflicts, loyalties, bonds, losses, repetitions and its own ways of surviving emotionally. Some families manage to talk about their pain. Others turn suffering into estrangement, rigidity, guilt, accusations or symptoms.

Systemic family therapy helps to look at this field more broadly. It invites the therapist to observe not only what each person says, but how relationships are organized: who speaks for whom, who carries responsibilities that are not theirs, who was excluded from the story, what pain repeats itself, what role each member plays and what pattern keeps returning even when everyone says they want change.

Psychoanalysis broadens this listening by considering that part of the suffering is not fully conscious. There are desires, defenses, identifications, anxieties, resentments and repetitions that may appear without the family noticing. That is why an integrated approach needs to be careful. It does not seek easy answers: it seeks reading, listening, presence and understanding.

In this training, the student is guided to study these layers seriously. The goal is to develop a better-prepared eye to embrace the complexity of family relationships and to understand that, behind many conflicts, there are stories that call for working-through.
