Psychoanalysis training for psychologists
Psychologists can complement their degree with Academia Enlevo’s psychoanalysis training, 100% online. A psychology degree presents psychoanalysis as one approach among many; psychoanalytic training goes deeper into theory, clinical practice and the handling of transference, with case discussion in a cohort.
It comprises 720 hours in the Método Alma Enlevo, live classes every two weeks (recorded), and cohorts for debate and case analysis.
How psychoanalysis expands your work
- A defined clinical approach: a consistent theory and method to sustain your clinical work.
- Difficult cases: resources to think through resistance, repetition and transference when treatment stalls.
- Supervision of your choice: you decide whom to discuss your cases with. See Clinical supervision.
- Specializations: after the training, in-depth courses on Freud, Jung and Child Psychoanalysis.
What you can and cannot do
As a psychologist, you can already see patients. The training deepens the psychoanalytic approach you use in your clinical practice.
When practicing psychology, your council’s rules apply. A psychologist who works with psychoanalysis continues to follow the Psychologist’s Code of Ethics and the resolutions of the Federal Council of Psychology (CFP).
A psychologist’s routine × what the training adds
| In the clinical routine | What the training adds |
|---|---|
| Treatment with several approaches mixed together | A consistent psychoanalytic foundation |
| A patient who resists or repeats | Theory and handling of transference and resistance |
| Doubts about your own place in the session | Case discussion in a cohort and supervision of your choice |
| A wish to go deeper into an author | Specializations in Freud, Jung and child psychoanalysis |
